CONTEMPORARY PRAISE & WORSHIP TEAM
Hope Lutheran Contemporary Praise and Worship Team provides music for the contemporary worship service held each Sunday at 9:15 am in the Dufendach Center. Consisting of bass, electric and acoustic guitarists, drummer and keyboard players, and male and female singers, the band plays contemporary Christian music that is relevant to life today. With a repertoire of nearly 100 praise songs the band provides a wonderful, rhythmic worship base to this informal worship setting. The Praise Band has also travels to other churches at their request to provide music not only for their contemporary worship settings but also community days and other functions.
If you are interested in serving God through this contemporary music ministry, please contact the church office at 215-946-3467 and leave a message for Lynn Holmes or Dave Osenberg.

CHOIRS
Hope has a long music tradition and also provides many opportunities for those who wish to participate.
The Vocal Choir is open to all from high school years and up. Many of its members have been singing with the choir for decades. The choir provides anthems for the worship services approximately twice a month. The Choir is also involved in special and festive worship services throughout the church year.
Chamber Vocal Groups, made up of members of larger choir, sing at worship services throughout the year.
Handbell Choirs: Hope is blessed to have a very fine 5-octave Malmark handbell set. Anyone can join the handbell choirs, and you do not have to be able to read music to join!
Liturgical Choir: This handbell choir plays at worship and festival services throughout the church year. The handbells have a very unique and special role each year in our Good Friday Tenebrae Service
Concert Handbells: This handbell ensemble is made up of a select group of ringers. They prepare and perform two large concerts each season. Our annual Service of Nine Lessons & Carols in December and then a fun sacred and secular Spring Concert in May/June. This group has also played off-site concerts in the Lower Bucks County area and performed at community functions at Hope. In addition, the group has also performed and is available to perform at wedding ceremonies held at Hope.
Junior Handbell Choir: A handbell experience for youth from Grades 5 through 12, this choir performs anthems at worship services six to eight times throughout the church year. They, too, are part of the Christmastide Ceremony of Nine Lessons & Carols.
For more information on any of the choir experiences contact the church office at 215-946-3467 and leave a message for Dave Osenberg.
MUSIC PROGRAMS
Hope draws not only on a rich array of members who play various instruments, but also regularly brings in area musicians to enrich and color the music palette of music offered at worship. Brass instruments are a regular staple of our Unified Reformation Sunday worship as well as the Easter Sunday celebration. We have employed nearly every Western instrument known at some point in our worship music and will continue to explore new sounds and present music of interest and meaning.
Hope Jazz Ensemble Hope is home base to a full 18-member Jazz Band. Its members come from all over Bucks County as well as New Jersey. The band consists of Hope members and non-Hope members. It is open to anyone based on talent and experience. The group has played for Hope community functions and dances as well as functions at other churches in the area. For additional information contact the church office at 215-946-3467 and leave a message for Dave Osenberg.
